Lower grades might find this difficult so instead, you can fill the time by teaching them the song ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’. I did this lesson after Halloween so I asked them if they thought it was scary. You can ask students how many eyes the creature has, whether it is fat or thin, tall or short and anything really. I then use their descriptions to fill in the description box. You should also be aware that not every student will know how to use a computer mouse so be on hand to help them if they are struggling. This helps keeps the noise level down a little, but your class will find this lesson very exciting so expect some noise and be gentle with them. I usually add the rule that if someone is shouting I will not pick them. Explain that if they get the answer right they will be able to help build the monster and then show them the game.
